Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 October 2026

This policy explains what Olevel collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the Olevel mobile app and this website.

In short: we collect your Google account details so you can sign in, your practice history so your progress is saved, and crash reports so we can fix bugs. We don't sell your data, we don't run advertising, and we never see your card details.

Who we are

Olevel is operated from Nigeria. For anything in this policy, contact support@olevel.ng.

What we collect

Account information

Olevel uses Google Sign-In. When you sign in we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Your practice activity

We store the questions you attempt, your answers, your scores and when you practised. This is what makes your history and progress work. It is tied to your account, not shared with other users.

Subscription information

If you subscribe, we store whether your subscription is active, which plan you are on, and when it expires. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store — we never receive or store your card or bank details.

Device and session information

To keep one account from being shared across a whole class, we record a session identifier when you sign in. Signing in on a new device ends the session on the previous one. We also use Google Play Integrity and Apple App Attest to confirm requests come from a genuine copy of the app rather than a script.

Crash and diagnostic data

If the app crashes, we receive a report containing the error, your device model and operating system version. This is used only to find and fix faults.

What we do not collect

  • Your card, bank or payment details
  • Your location
  • Your contacts, photos, messages or files
  • Anything for advertising purposes — Olevel has no ads

Why we collect it

  • To run your account — signing in, saving progress, restoring it on a new phone
  • To provide what you paid for — checking whether your subscription is active
  • To keep the service working — diagnosing crashes and blocking abuse
  • To support you — answering your emails about your account

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We use the following services to run Olevel, and your data passes through them for that purpose only:

  • Google Firebase — sign-in, database, crash reporting, app integrity
  • RevenueCat — managing subscription status
  • Google Play and the Apple App Store — processing payments
  • Cloudflare — serving this website

Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Where your data is stored

Our database is hosted by Google on servers outside Nigeria. By using Olevel you accept that your information is transferred and stored internationally.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and practice history for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information and practice history. Crash reports are retained by Firebase Crashlytics for a limited period under Google's own retention schedule.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete your account and the data attached to it

Email support@olevel.ng from the address on your account and we will act on it. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription — cancel that through Google Play or the App Store, or you will continue to be billed.

Students under 18

Olevel is built for secondary school students preparing for WAEC, NECO and NABTEB, so many of our users are under 18. We collect only what is described above and never more because of a user's age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has an account, email support@olevel.ng and we will delete it.

Security

Access to your data is restricted by server-side security rules, so one account cannot read another's. Requests are checked for app integrity before they reach our database. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect what we hold.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Where the change is significant we will tell you in the app.
